Triple G is an indica-dominant hybrid (85% indica, 15% sativa) developed by Royal Queen Seeds through crossing two legendary strains: Gorilla Glue #4 and Gelato (also known as Green Gelato or Gelato 33). This strain emerged during an era when breeders were experimenting with robust indica genetics to develop strains that offer both recreational enjoyment and medicinal benefits, with the goal of creating a strain with a balanced profile that could deliver profound relaxation and relief. The Gorilla Glue parent is a renowned hybrid originally bred by GG Seeds, resulting from a three-way cross of Chem's Sister, Sour Dubb, and Chocolate Diesel, known for its high resin production and ridiculous potency, while Gelato is a collaboration between US breeders Cookie Fam and Sherbinskis, a cross of Thin Mint Cookies and Sunset Sherbert that won Leafly's strain of the year in 2018. Triple G forms a dense canopy of narrow, spiky flowers laden with bright orange pistils and a thick coating of trichomes, exhibiting heavy indica dominance that results in a bush-like shape with thick, dark green foliage, making it easier to manage than most strains.

Height ranges from 90-140cm indoors and 140-180cm outdoors. Triple G serves as an easy variety to grow, as even with little human intervention it produces great bud, making it suitable for beginners. The strain deals with indoor and outdoor conditions equally well and provides medium yields in both environments. While relatively easy to grow, it can develop bud rot or other fungal issues when growing in hot, humid, and poorly ventilated spaces. Growers can utilize topping and pruning to expose bud sites to equal light for optimal harvests.
