Temple Kush is a rare pure indica strain created through a genetic cross between Hindu Kush and a Nepalese Hashplant, though some sources indicate it may also include unknown parent strains. The strain's lineage traces back to traditional hashish routes and cultivar exchanges that brought Kush genetics from Central and South Asia to Europe and North America in the late 20th century, with breeders later incorporating OG Kush descendants and selecting for resin density and the gassy-earth aromatics that OG made famous. The 'Temple' moniker likely arose from both the resin-forward nature of the line and cultural mystique around temple ball hash. Temple Kush is an indica-leaning hybrid celebrated for its resin-rich flowers, earthy-spice bouquet, and calm, centering stone that nods to classic Kush sedatives, appearing in many North American menus as a boutique cut sometimes under varied labels reflecting clone-only lines and breeder interpretations.
