Tahoe OG
Tahoe OG
Also known as: Tahoe OG Kush
Overview
Tahoe OG originated in the Lake Tahoe region of California and was developed by legendary cannabis breeder Ganja Guru. While some sources claim development in the 1980s, this is inconsistent with the 1992 emergence of OG Kush - of which Tahoe OG is confirmed to be a phenotype through genetic testing. Ganja Guru selected specific phenotypes based on THC levels and trichome density to create one of the most potent phenos possible.
This award-winning strain earned 3rd place for Best Indica at the 2011 Cannabis Cup, 1st place for Best Hash at the 2011 Amsterdam Awards, and 2nd place for Best Hybrid at the 2013 High Times Medical Cups in Los Angeles. Tahoe OG is an indica-dominant hybrid, typically containing 80-90% indica and 10-20% sativa genetics. The buds are visually striking with dark green to deep purple hues, complemented by vibrant orange pistils and a generous coating of white trichomes. This strain originated near Lake Tahoe and is most popular on the West Coast, particularly in California, Colorado, and Michigan.

Growing Information
Tahoe OG flowers in 8-9 weeks, which is typical for most indica strains that finish at 6-9 weeks. The plants grow short and squat, reaching heights of 4 feet in 8-9 weeks of indoor growing. Indoor cultivation has a moderate vegetative cycle of about 70 days with flowering time of 60-65 days. Indoor yields can reach up to 19.5 ounces per square yard with proper 300-350W LED lighting, while outdoor yields can reach up to 31.7 ounces per plant. Harvest time for outdoor grows is between the first and second week of October, and branches may need support during final weeks due to heavy buds. Plants thrive at 50-70% humidity during vegetative stage, 30-40% during flowering, with temperatures between 70-85°F (21-29°C) during day and no lower than 60-70°F (15.5-21°C) at night.
