The strain gained significant popularity when Michigan grower and influencer Mobilejay selected a phenotype and renamed it "Super Boof," popularizing it from 2021-2022. This Colorado-associated strain achieved remarkable recognition, taking first place in the High Times Medical Cup (Hybrid Flower category) and third place in the Ice Water Hash category at the Emerald Cannabis Cup, both in 2022. Most notably, Super Boof was named Leafly's Strain of the Year for 2024.
Super Boof is a perfectly balanced hybrid (50% indica/50% sativa) created by crossing two powerhouse strains: Tropicana Cookies and Black Cherry Punch. This genetic combination merges the cerebral uplift of Tropicana Cookies with the body relaxation of Black Cherry Punch, resulting in a strain that appeals to a broad spectrum of users.
