Starfighter is an indica-dominant hybrid whose combined obscurity and quality have garnered this strain quite the reputation among growers and connoisseurs alike. Bred by Alien Genetics, Starfighter mixes genetics from Alien Tahoe OG and Lemon Alien Dawg to create a sweetly aromatic, uplifting hybrid that boasts its potency with a sparkling coat of star-like trichomes. Although the original Starfighter genetics have been discontinued, Exotic Genetix have resurrected similar phenotypes in seed form. Starfighter is marked by medium-sized flowers that hold a dense, tightly-packed bud structure. Its leaves range in color from pale to dark forest green and are threaded through with rust-colored pistils. Tinges of purple also emerge in certain phenotypes, the result of pigments called anthocyanins being stimulated by cold temperatures during the growing process. Starfighter is a moderately potent strain with an average THC content of 19%, though recent sources report levels ranging from 15-25%. Cannabis testing lab Analytical 360 has found flowers of Starfighter to have an average THC content of about 20%. Starfighter has proven to be an elusive strain in the cultivation market. The original breeding stock is either lost or very scarce -- there are some rumors of breeders paying up to $20,000 for pure, original Starfighter seeds!
