Sparkleface
Sparkleface
Also known as: Sparkle Face, SparkleFace
Overview
Sparkleface is an indica-dominant hybrid strain (70% indica/30% sativa) developed by Twenty 20 Genetics through crossing Snowcaine (Spartan Cut) and The Spice strains. The strain emerged from a meticulous breeding project, with the original F1 generation released as freebies before gaining popularity among growers. In 2022, Twenty 20 Genetics conducted a large-scale phenotype hunt in Northern Michigan, evaluating over 550 female plants to select the finest specimens for creating the F2 generation currently available. The strain quickly gained recognition within the cannabis community due to its exceptional resin production and striking visual appearance.
Sparkleface derives its name from the exceptionally dense trichome coverage that gives the buds a distinctive sparkling appearance under light. The flowers display olive green coloration with bright purple undertones, complemented by vibrant orange pistils and a thick coating of chunky, purple-tinted white crystal trichomes. The strain exhibits compact indica-type bud structure with fluffy, conical formations that stack into tapered spears rather than foxtailed towers. Plants typically maintain mostly green coloration but may develop purple fading in outdoor environments as harvest approaches. The visual appeal is so striking that Sparkleface was selected as the cover photo for Twenty 20 Genetics' 2023 seed catalog.

Growing Information
Sparkleface is an indica-dominant hybrid suitable for both indoor and outdoor cultivation with moderate difficulty level. Indoor flowering time ranges from 60-75 days, with optimal harvest typically occurring between 60-63 days for balanced effects and maximum terpene retention. Some growers extend to 65-67 days for deeper body effects. Plants exhibit average to above-average height and stretch, requiring good air circulation and potentially needing trellis support due to heavy, resin-laden flowers. Yields are above average with proper care. Outdoor harvest typically occurs in the first week of October. The strain is extremely resilient and well-adapted to various growing environments, performing exceptionally well outdoors with strong mold resistance. Plants respond well to heavy feeding and benefit from proper training and pruning for optimal structure development.
