Space Bomb
Space Bomb
Overview
Space Bomb is a clone-only cross of Tiny Bomb and Space Queen developed by TGA Genetics (also known as TGA Subcool Seeds), a sativa-dominant hybrid that is approximately 60% sativa and 40% indica. TGA Genetics was founded by renowned breeders Subcool (Montgomery Ball) and Mz. Jill, two of the most accomplished horticulturalists in the cannabis industry. The strain received recognition as one of the Top 10 Strains at the High Times Cannabis Cup in 2009. Space Bomb produces visually striking, medium to large-sized buds that are dense and tightly packed, displaying bright lime green hues interspersed with deep orange and rust-colored pistils, frequently covered with a layer of trichomes that gives them a sticky texture and a glittering appearance under light. The strain emerged in the late 2000s and quickly earned a reputation for its unique combination of tropical sweetness, funky undertones, and impressive bag appeal, becoming a connoisseur favorite for both flower and hash rosin as TGA genetics spread through North American and European markets.

Growing Information
Space Bomb is a moderately challenging cannabis strain to cultivate, making it suitable for growers with some experience, with its genetic lineage giving it strong, resilient traits, but achieving optimal yield and quality requires attention to environmental factors. The plant grows thin and lanky unless topped, with medium yield, requiring canopy management like SCROG or lots of support stakes, with a harvest window of 50-60 days. The flowering period lasts 45-55 days, producing medium-sized yields, growing tall and branchy making it great for outdoor plantations, though indoors it requires string support to contain branch size, with topping techniques recommended from the beginning to allow expansion in width. It can be grown indoors or outdoors, though outdoor success requires a semi-humid climate with daytime temperatures between 70 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit, with sativa-influenced plants tending to grow tall and potentially needing trimming for indoor spaces.
