Silver Pearl is a sativa-dominant hybrid strain (80% sativa/20% indica) created by the legendary breeders at Sensi Seeds through a three-way cross of Early Pearl, Skunk #1, and Northern Lights #5. Developed in the 1990s, this classic strain is renowned for its unusually fast flowering schedule—often 45–55 days indoors—without sacrificing yield or terpene density, taking its name from the dense carpet of trichomes that coat mature buds, projecting a silvery, pearl-like sheen across calyxes and sugar leaves.
Silver Pearl won Best Hybrid at the 1994 High Times Cannabis Cup and has since retained its popularity as an ideal wake-and-bake strain. The buds are often light green with hints of purple or blue, small to medium sized with moderate density, featuring bright orange pistils and covered in a thick silver sheen of trichomes. Silver Pearl has a distinct aroma of dark chocolate cream with a taste of sweet honey vanilla that intensifies upon exhale. The flavor profile is sweet and bright—with notes of garden honey, citrus zest, and a peppery finish—combined with a skunk-leaning underpinning inherited from its Skunk #1 parentage.

Experienced indoor growers commonly report 450–550 g/m² under optimal conditions (600–1000 µmol/m²/s with CO2), while outdoor plants in containers can produce 450–700 g per plant in favorable conditions. Despite being sativa-dominant, the strain retains indica growth characteristics from its Skunk and Northern Lights parentage, reaching around 4 feet indoors and 5-6 feet outdoors, with an astoundingly short 7-8 week flowering period and outdoor harvest ready by beginning of October. This strain is ideal for indoors or greenhouse cultivation as it's easy to grow and handles stress well, staying short and compact with wide fingered leaves and tight structure, plus its low leaf structure makes for easy clipping and adds mold resistance.
