Sherblato
Sherblato
Also known as: Sherbert x Gelato, Sunset Sherbet x Gelato
Overview
Sherblato is a hybrid cannabis strain created by crossing Sherbert (also known as Sunset Sherbet) and Gelato. With Pink Panties, GSC, and Sunset Sherbert in its lineage, this strain combines a complex genetic profile that has gained significant popularity, particularly on the West Coast. The strain belongs to a catalogue of genetics created by a team of breeders known as Flavour Chasers, whose story begins in London where they noticed a scarcity of flavour in cannabis available in the region. Hungry for superior terpene profiles, they embarked to California to establish a breeding facility and developed an array of strains that captured the best terpene profiles they could find.
The cured nuggets of Sherblato are visually striking, featuring deep olive green coloration with light orange pistils and tiny patches of violet here and there. They have a dense quality but can break up easily without too many trichomes sticking to fingers or grinders. Her bushy morphology and low-lying canopy make her a good candidate for covert cultivation. The sweet result of Sherblato genetics and terpene profile produces a scent and flavor similar to cookies a la mode – or fresh-baked confections combined with tantalizing vanilla gelato beneath its diesel overtone. Sherblato offers a tart citrus profile that's backed by notes of gas.

Growing Information
Sherblato has a flowering time of 7-9 weeks (approximately 56 days), making it a relatively quick-growing strain. The strain can be grown indoors, outdoors, and in greenhouses, and tolerates a wide range of growing conditions. Her size makes her suitable for cultivation anywhere from tight indoor spaces, small greenhouses, or directly in the ground out in the garden. The plant grows roughly 5-7 feet tall with dark, moss green leaves and modest, popcorn-shaped buds that are forest green with light orange pistils and touches of violet and amethyst. Indoor yields average 1-2 ounces per square foot (up to 550g/m²), while outdoor harvests can reach 15-20 ounces per plant. Training techniques such as topping, LST, or ScrOG are recommended, and the strain benefits from defoliation throughout the growing cycle to promote airflow and light penetration. While offering great results, it does require some attention and care, placing it in the intermediate difficulty category for growers.
