Shark Shock is an indica-dominant hybrid cannabis strain that emerged as one of the most successful genetics of the 1990s. Originally developed by Shantibaba of Mr. Nice Seeds in the 1990s, this strain has been known by several names including Great White Shark and Peacemaker. The strain's genetics trace back to White Widow (specifically Mr. Nice Black Widow, an inbred version that crosses Brazilian Sativa with Indian Indica) crossed with the legendary Skunk #1, creating a lineage that combines five landrace strains from around the world. With THC levels reaching up to 20 percent and numerous High Times Cannabis Cup awards, Shark Shock is considered by many to be the most successful genetics from the 1990s.
The strain exhibits dense, compact buds that are lime-green in color, sometimes with hints of purple, adorned with thick orange pistils and a blanket of white trichomes.
