San Fernando Valley OG, commonly known as SFV OG, is a legendary sativa-dominant hybrid cannabis strain originating from California's San Fernando Valley. This strain began as a phenotype of OG Kush and was bred by Cali Connection Farms, with a grower named Swerve crossing it with an Afghani landrace strain from Homegrown Fantaseeds. The strain achieved significant recognition, taking 3rd place in the Indica category at the High Times Cannabis Cup in Amsterdam in 2012, and 1st place at the Denver Cannabis Cup that same year. SFV OG is characterized by its distinctive aromatic profile featuring earthy pine and lemon notes, with complex layers of citrus, pine, and fuel. The buds are typically small with dark army green nugs, olive green leaves, reddish brown hairs, and a fine layer of white trichomes and resin.
