Russian Assassin
Russian Assassin
Also known as: Russian Assassin OG, Russian Assassin OG Kush
Overview
Russian Assassin, also known as Russian Assassin OG, is an indica-dominant hybrid cannabis strain created through a powerful three-way cross of Skywalker, Lemon OG Kush, and Headband. This boutique hybrid strain surfaced on the West Coast cannabis scene in the late 2010s, with sporadic appearances in connoisseur menus and private breeder drops. The name evokes the storied "Russian" lineage popularized by strains like White Russian and AK-47-derived hybrids, though official documentation is sparse. The resulting buds are large, chunky, and covered in trichomes with dark red pistils throughout. They have the solid, compact internal structure characteristic of indica strains and are composed of mossy green leaves and curly, rust-colored pistils. A heavy coating of translucent white trichomes makes them very sticky to the touch. These subtle buds are small to medium in size and maintain a tapered, spadelike shape.

Growing Information
Russian Assassin has a flowering period of 7 to 9 weeks. With proper care, it produces decent yields ranging from 10 to 12 ounces per square meter. The strain flowers in 49 to 63 days indoors and late September outdoors. In ideal conditions, Russian Assassin produces small yields but grows well both indoors and outdoors. Russian Assassin tends to behave like an indica-leaning OG hybrid: medium stature, sturdy lateral branching, and a pronounced stretch post-flip. Expect a 1.5–2.0x stretch in the first 2–3 weeks of flowering under 12/12 photoperiod. Because Russian Assassin is fairly new to the cannabis market, there is little info on its growth patterns. But, judging from its ancestry, it is sure to be a sturdy strain. For this reason, it is best to leave it to experienced growers who can track its growth. It produces medium-sized plants that require a more experienced hand to raise properly.
