Purple Pineberry
Purple Pineberry
Also known as: Pineberry
Overview
Purple Pineberry is a 100% pure indica-dominant cannabis strain with uncertain parentage, though it is believed to be connected to the Purple family and has strong ties to British Columbia's cannabis heritage. The strain is widely recognized as a cross between Texada Timewarp and Cream Sodica, with the latter being a strain from Breeder Steve that was later discontinued. Originally available only as a clone, Purple Pineberry has since been developed into seed form by various breeders including MSNL. The strain originated in British Columbia, Canada, and became one of the most widely grown outdoor commercial clones in south coastal BC.
Purple Pineberry buds are characterized by dense, spade-shaped olive green nugs with a thick coating of milky white crystal trichomes. The plant grows in the classic indica "Christmas tree" shape with short internodes and thick stems. When exposed to cooler nighttime temperatures, particularly in northern latitudes, the strain develops its namesake purple and violet coloration throughout both buds and shade leaves. The strain is particularly renowned for its hardiness, mold resistance, and ability to thrive in various outdoor conditions, making it suitable for nearly all climate types and especially resilient in damp environments where other strains might struggle.
