Purple Haze x Malawi
Purple Haze x Malawi
Also known as: Purple Haze #23 x Malawi Killer, PHXM
Overview
Purple Haze x Malawi is an old-school F1 pure sativa hybrid created by ACE Seeds through crossing their best Purple Haze selection with the legendary Malawi Killer landrace. This spectacular sativa represents one of the most powerful and better yielding pure sativa Haze hybrids available, combining the psychedelic effects and purple coloration of Purple Haze with the enhanced vigor, yield, and potency from the African Malawi genetics. The strain exhibits strong Purple Haze dominance while benefiting from the massive trichomes and improved characteristics of its Malawi parent.
The plant develops a tall, thin structure with strong lateral branching, characteristic of pure sativas. It displays an open structure with wide internodal spacing and thin, elongated leaves typical of landrace genetics. Depending on the phenotype, plants can develop impressive purple and reddish colors in their stems and flowers, with some displaying dark hues reminiscent of the Purple Haze parent. The buds are dense and resin-laden, covered in enormous trichomes that compete with the most potent indica/sativa hybrids in terms of size and cannabinoid concentration.

Growing Information
Growing difficulty is moderate to advanced due to its long flowering period and vigorous sativa structure. Flowering time indoors ranges from 13-16 weeks, with outdoor harvest occurring in late November to early December in the Northern Hemisphere. Indoor plants reach 1-1.5 meters in height, while outdoor plants can stretch to 2-3 meters tall with proper space. Yields are high with proper training techniques like SCROG being particularly effective. The strain prefers warm, Mediterranean climates outdoors and thrives up to latitude 43°N. Indoor cultivation requires strong lighting and ample vertical space. Plants exhibit excellent resistance to heat, cold, and botrytis, making them suitable for various growing conditions. Low to moderate nutrient feeding is recommended throughout the cycle.
