Platinum Huckleberry Cookies is a rare indica-dominant hybrid strain created through crossing Platinum Girl Scout Cookies with Oregon Huckleberry, developed by Dynasty Genetics beginning in 2014. This strain is typically indica-dominant with 70% indica genetics to 30% sativa. With an average THC content ranging from 20% to 28%, this potent strain delivers intense effects that are recommended for patients with higher tolerance levels.
The breeding project aimed to address the shortcomings of its parent strains while combining their best qualities. The Platinum Girl Scout Cookies parent, while high quality, suffered from poor internode spacing and low yields, which the Oregon Huckleberry male helped to correct with its tight internode spacing that drastically increased yield. The resulting buds are notably dense and heavy, displaying colorful olive green nugs with bright orange hairs, rich purple undertones, and a heavy coating of golden amber crystal trichomes. This strain flowers in seven to nine weeks indoors and by late September outdoors.
