Overview
Passion Fruit is a well-balanced hybrid cannabis strain born from the union of Sweet Pink Grapefruit and Orange Bud. Dutch Passion obtained the original Sweet Pink Grapefruit clone from a trusted friend in Belgium, with the team being blown away by its fruity aroma and taste. When hybridized together, the result is arguably even better than either of the original parent varieties. The strain has gained recognition in the cannabis community, winning awards in South America, including 1st Prize Outdoor at Copa Del Sol in Peru in 2018. Passion Fruit is notably recognized for its high THC content, sweet but pungent aroma, and stable genetics. The plants have dense, chunky buds with deep green and purple hues, flowering in 8-9 weeks, and exposure to cooler temperatures causes a desirable blue/purple tint in the leaves and increases sticky trichome production.

Growing Information
Passion Fruit can grow to be quite large, especially outdoors where it tolerates cooler temperatures well. It flowers in about four weeks indoors using Sea of Green (SOG) technique, with flowering taking eight to nine weeks outdoors or in a greenhouse. The breeder recommends greenhouse planting for maximum production but air circulation is key since Passion Fruit is susceptible to mold. The strain responds well to variety of grow techniques and delivers extremely high yields in optimal conditions. Passion Fruit can show quite a compact growth pattern during vegetative growth with thick stems and broad fan leaves, but during flowering the Sativa side becomes more evident as she stretches and gains height. Being such a strong hybrid, she is suitable for all sorts of growing techniques, whether focused on having numerous plants per m² or just a handful.
