Orange Julius
Orange Julius
Also known as: Orange Julius by Fancy Weed, Orange Julius by 3thirteen Seeds, Orange Julius by Mephisto Genetics
Overview
Orange Julius is a sativa-dominant hybrid weed strain made by crossing a proprietary "Blockhead cut" of Agent Orange with Keebler Cookies by Fancy Weed. The strain emerged over a decade ago during a time when cannabis breeders were exploring innovative genetic combinations to create unique sensory experiences. Fancy Weed documented over 200 breeding trials before settling on the signature profile of Orange Julius. Multiple versions exist from different breeders, including variants from Mephisto Genetics that crosses S.O.D.K. (Sour Orange Diesel Kush) and Sundae Thumper, and 3thirteen Seeds that combines a sweet, creamy candy hearts pheno of Bodhi's "Mothers Milk" with the orange fruit pheno of Symbiotics "Mimosa".
Orange Julius is distinguished by its big bright green buds with neon orange hairs and a coating of tiny golden amber crystal trichomes. The strain is renowned for smelling just like the orange Julius drink at the mall while growing. Orange Julius packs a flavor much like its namesake, with a sweet and sour citrusy orange taste that tingles on the tongue. The aroma is very similar, although with a touch of earthy spiciness to it.

Growing Information
Orange Julius can be cultivated indoors with plants needing a flowering time of approximately 60 days. The strain can be cultivated both outside and inside, with outdoor yields potentially twice as high. The flowering period is 57 to 64 days. Growers can expect a medium stretch with fat frosty buds finishing around 8-9 weeks of flowering. Indoor cultivation typically produces yields of around 450 to 550 grams per square meter. The strain thrives best at temperatures ranging from 70°F to 80°F during the day and slightly cooler at night, with humidity around 50-60% during vegetative growth and lowering to 40-50% during flowering. Orange Julius exhibits robust, bushy growth, making it ideal for techniques such as topping and low-stress training (LST).
