Nova OG is an indica-dominant hybrid cannabis strain that represents a specialized version of the Pennywise strain. Nova is Canadian LP Tweed's version of Pennywise, an indica-dominant cannabis strain with an equal ratio of THC and CBD, though modern breeding has produced versions with significantly higher THC levels. The strain features 80% indica and 20% sativa genetics, creating a predominantly relaxing experience with some uplifting qualities.
The strain exhibits considerable variation in cannabinoid profiles depending on the breeder and phenotype. Nova OG is at the moment one of the most potent strains on earth, tested with more than 32% THC in some versions from Anesia Seeds, while other versions maintain an even THC and CBD level, which both range from 12-15% on average. Nova OG produces rock hard, soaked in resin buds often with a crystalline sheen due to the amount of trichomes. The dense, compact flowers display vibrant green hues with orange pistils and are covered in a thick layer of frosty trichomes that give them an almost white, snowy appearance.

Given her strong indica genetics, Nova OG grows compact, with shortly-spaced internodes and large, broad foliage. The strain is considered moderately difficult to grow and its susceptibility to pests make Nova OG a strain best for experienced growers. Nova OG is extremely versatile and can grow well indoors and outside, preferring warm, sunny climates when grown outdoors. This strain is highly resistant to mold and pests according to some sources, though experiences may vary by phenotype.
