Nepal Annapurna
Nepal Annapurna
Also known as: Annapurna, Nepal Annapurna Landrace
Overview
Nepal Annapurna is a pure sativa landrace originating from the slopes of Annapurna at more than 2000 metres altitude, which produces a classic and authentic wild Nepalese sativa phenotype. This P2 second generation Nepalese pure sativa has been cultivated for generations, adapting to poor soils, extreme weather, and fluctuating temperatures. The variety produces tall and lanky sativas with sticky, slender and flexible stems, which thrive in poor soils with very little care and attention, showing excellent resistance against mould, rain, wind, cold and strong temperature contrasts. Traditionally, locals rub their flowers with their bare hands from the second half of flowering onwards, so the hands get impregnated with resins, from which the famous Nepalese charas is produced. Its delicate and spongy flowers with small floral bracts and long pistils mature in moderate flowering times for a pure sativa (12-14 weeks), and acquire beautiful purple and pink colours at the end of flowering in low temperatures. The strain remains an important part of Nepalese cannabis culture and is considered one of the finest hashish varieties in the world due to its quality effects and terpene profile.

Growing Information
Indoor flowering: 12-14 weeks. Outdoor flowering: End of October/Early November. Yield: Average. The strain shows excellent resistance against spider mites (average-high), powdery mildew (high), botrytis/bud rot (very high), whitefly (average-high), cold (very high), and heat (high). It is an extremely resistant and easy-to-grow variety, making it well suited to beginners. Due to its origin, it is extremely resistant to cold, but also to pests of other kinds. The plants can grow very tall and develop large internodal distances. Young plants can be sent into flowering as early as 10 cm and still reach a plant height of 100 cm. If grown longer with 18+ hours of light, it can reach heights over 150 cm. Can be successfully cultivated outdoors up to 45º latitude. Suitable for SCROG techniques due to its flexible structure and response to pruning.
