Overview
Bred by Oregon CBD, Lifter is a CBD hemp cultivar created by crossing Suver Haze and Early Resin Bud. Lifter CBD was awarded first place for Top CBD Flower at the 2020 Golden Grow Awards and has become one of the most commonly cultivated and sold strains in the hemp flower industry. This sativa-dominant hybrid represents one of the earliest genetics with high CBD content and was introduced in 2018.
The strain displays predominantly chartreuse and lime in color, but hints of sage and mint peek through the surface to add multi-dimensional appeal. Vigorous dense and large buds with hints of golden trichomes characterize its appearance, with vivid-green with orange-tan hairs and purple tinges. Buds have a funky cheese aroma with a hint of fuel, along with tones of sweet citrus, grassy earth, and a hint of fuel. The complex flavor profile combines the sharp twang of cheddar and sweet satisfaction of mint candy with smooth fruity flavor with a soothing piney undertone and a kick of funky lemon.
Field trials at the University of Vermont in 2020 demonstrated that Lifter was top in class for overall biomass yield, total flower yield, and total cannabinoids per acre. Lifter CBD is known for its ease of cultivation, making it suitable for both novice and experienced growers. It thrives in both indoor and outdoor environments, with a flowering time of 8–9 weeks. Lifter matures in around 8 weeks of flowering time, or mid to late September if planted outdoors in early June. Lifter thrives in moderate climates with consistent sunlight and temperature: Temperature Range: 70°F–85°F (21°C–29°C). Humidity Levels: Moderate during the vegetative stage (50–70%) and reduced during flowering (40–50%). Lifter growers are rewarded with vigorous bushy, upright growth patterns in the vegetative phase that can easily fill 6" centers. You can see the Sativa genetics really shine through in the flowering phase as Lifter plants reach upwards, sending their massive colas more than six feet in the air. Outdoor Cultivation: Yields up to 3 pounds per plant under ideal conditions. Indoor Cultivation: Yields range from 1.5 to 2 pounds per square meter. The strain is considered excellent in moist climates and produces "A" grade flowers ideal for smokeable flower or biomass.
