Lemongrass, also known as "Lemon Grass" and "Lemon Gas," is a hybrid marijuana strain made by crossing Lemon Kush Bx5 and Humboldt Gelato Bx3. Humboldt Seed Company bred Lemongrass, a high-performance cultivar with vigorous growth patterns and high yields. Amsterdam Genetics offers a different phenotype that is an Indica-dominant cannabis strain born from the mix of Lemon Ice and Kosher Tangie Kush, with a balanced origin of 60% Indica and 40% Sativa ratio. The genetic diversity of Lemongrass strains varies significantly based on their source of origin, ranging from The Bank Genetics' sativa-dominant variety to Amsterdam Genetics' 60% indica composition.
Lemongrass' terpenes gush a tart lemon flavor that is backed with a gassy fuel taste and notes of vanilla, with lime green buds that come drenched in trichomes and the uplifting high will make you get up and get out. The dense, spade-shaped Lemon Grass buds have curled olive-green leaves, completely covered by a mass of gold trichomes, with patches of fiery-orange pistils abundant, making the buds look primarily orange and army-green from afar. With high THC levels complemented by juicy terpenes gushing with lemon flavor, the production leaves nothing to be desired as the plants are huge and display hybrid vigor, with disease, mildew and mold resistance being high and flower structure perfect for machine or hand trimming.

The strain's ease of cultivation is evident under a variety of conditions, with a flowering period of eight to nine weeks and an expected yield of a generous 550 grams per square metre. Lemongrass is a plant that grows well both indoors and outdoors in a warmer climate, and is therefore certainly suitable for growing in a greenhouse. When grown, Lemongrass flowers quickly indoors, in around 50 days. Outside, you should be ready for harvest around the last week of September, pushing into October. Production leaves nothing to be desired: the plants are huge and display hybrid vigor. Disease, mildew and mold resistance is high and flower structure is perfect for machine or hand trimming. Lemongrass plants grow into huge, diffuse structures that are good fits for large farms with a ton of space. This strain is a great candidate for regular hand trimming, or even using a machine to trim the structure back. Growing difficulty is considered moderate to expert level.
