Khalifa Kush
Khalifa Kush
Also known as: KK, Wiz Khalifa OG, Wiz Khalifa, Kalifa Kush
Overview
Khalifa Kush is a cannabis strain developed specifically for rapper Wiz Khalifa by Cookie Co. 415, a dispensary in San Jose, CA. This indica-dominant hybrid is a descendant of OG Kush, though the exact genetics were kept secret until Berner revealed in a HOT 97 interview that it is simply the South Florida OG cut used for their Girl Scout Cookies. Wiz Khalifa stated it took years to develop this rare phenotype of OG Kush, starting from seed with Khalifa personally testing the product.
When harvest-ready, its buds are small or medium-sized, dense, forest green, and often shaped like cones with a thick layer of trichomes. The scent is reminiscent of lemons and pine, with hints of citrus and a pungent earthiness. The taste has been bred for a lemony flavor and pine notes rather than earthy traits, though it retains undertones of a pungent smell. Legend has it that the real Khalifa Kush is much stronger than what is found at dispensaries and reserved just for Wiz, making this strain particularly sought-after in the cannabis community.

Growing Information
Khalifa Kush has an average flowering time between 56 and 63 days indoors (approximately 8-10 weeks) and harvests from late September to early October outdoors. It produces medium-sized bushy plants thanks to its indica heritage and is known to produce large yields in ideal conditions, though it requires some skill to grow since Screen of Green (ScrOG) is needed to make it really flourish. The strain is resistant to pests and disease, growing well both indoors and outdoors, especially in a warm, dry climate. The strain is best cultivated in an environment that mimics a Mediterranean climate with temperatures between 70-85°F (21-29°C). Humidity control is extremely important as it's susceptible to mold and mildew due to its dense buds, requiring low relative humidity levels around 40% during flowering and even lower (30%) before harvest.
