Jamaican Dream is a 100% sativa strain developed by breeders from Eva Seeds, created from a remarkable discovery where travelers received cannabis buds instead of coins as change in Jamaica, alongside seeds that impressed everyone present. This sativa-dominant hybrid traces its lineage to pure Jamaican landrace strains, inheriting distinct sativa characteristics including a remarkably quick flowering time and potent cerebral effects. Eva Seeds' breeding team found that the females all displayed consistent structure, aromas, and flowering times without hermaphroditism issues while producing large yields, leading them to stabilize the genetics through hybridization with male Jamaican strains.
The strain has earned significant recognition, winning 1st place in the outdoor category at the Slovakia Cannabis Cup in 2011 and 1st place in the outdoor local category during the Canarias Cannabis Cup in 2013. What makes Jamaican Dream particularly remarkable is its extraordinarily fast flowering time of 42-45 days, making it possibly the fastest sativa available while maintaining the luxury of sativa effects with indica-like appearance.
