Green Ribbon is a near-even hybrid with a sativa/indica ratio of roughly 50:50, originating in San Jose, California, crossing Green Crack, Trainwreck, Afghanica, and White Rhino. Despite its balanced genetics, the effects favor the sativa side, delivering a heady cerebral rush and a boost of energy, along with creativity, happiness, and sociability. The strain typically exhibits THC levels ranging between 18-22%, providing moderate potency suited for patients needing relief from chronic conditions without excessive psychoactivity. The buds are dark green with dark brown hairs and a decent layer of trichome crystals. This strain has a pungent aroma and taste with notes of forest, pine trees, and soil, with slightly fruity yet sweet and citrusy aroma combined with earthy and pine undertones. Green Ribbon is relatively easy to find in the United States, both on and off the legal markets, but it's most common on the West Coast and in Arizona.

Growing difficulty is medium, making it accessible to a range of growers, from novices to veterans. Flowering time is 8-11 weeks indoors. Outdoor harvest is ready by late October, typically 8-10 weeks after flowering stage begins. Indoor yields range from 350-450g/m² (12-16 ounces per square meter). Outdoor plants can produce up to 550g each (500-600g per plant). Plants are rather tall and able to reach 180cm if left to their own devices. They respond well to training and thrive in ScrOG, producing medium-sized, dense buds coated in trichomes. This variety prefers the outdoors, where it can soak up precious sun rays, but it can be grown inside too.
