G6, also known more commonly as "Jet Fuel," is a sativa-dominant hybrid (70% sativa/30% indica) strain created through a cross of the potent Aspen OG X High Country Diesel strains. The strain was developed by 303 Seeds, a highly regarded breeder based in Colorado, and was created by 303 Seeds, a breeder from Colorado, USA. In 2020, High Times magazine mentioned Jet Fuel OG as one of the best strains of the year alongside 303 Seeds' Jabberwocky.
The breeders aimed to create a strain that captured the energizing, euphoric qualities, and unique flavors and aromas of the famous Sour Diesel strain, while balancing it with hard hitting potency and grounding effects of OG kush. The cannabis strain G6 is named after the private jet, which is the fastest civil aircraft ever produced. It references the notion that this strain might get you high quickly with the luxury of providing a deliciously sweet but pungent jet fuel taste. This bud has lumpy flat heart-shaped olive green nugs with sparse furry amber hairs and amber chunky trichomes. The flowers are bright green in color, with some leaf and bud tips having different shades of purple!

This is considered a more difficult strain to grow, and it is recommended that only experienced growers take on the challenge. Jet fuel is not the easiest strain to grow, so having some experience will greatly help! By combining Aspen OG with High Country Diesel, we are left with a hybrid that flowers within 9-10 weeks. Broad fan leaves need to be regularly trimmed at the top of the plant for maximum exposure to light sources, and G6 generally flowers over a period of 9-10 weeks. Jet Fuel has a flowering time of 9-10 weeks and can be grown both indoors and outdoors with proper care. It offers a somewhat lower than average yield at about 37 grams per square foot of plant. It offers at least 14 ounces per square meter of a plant. As a sativa-dominant strain, it tends to grow tall and is very receptive to training techniques! Techniques like topping and SCROG (Screen of Green) will not only help manage the plants' height, but also contribute to the plant's overall production potential!
