Dragon OG
Dragon OG
Also known as: Red Dragon OG
Overview
Dragon OG is a potent hybrid that leans toward the sativa end of the spectrum, created through crossing OG Kush with the Red Dragon strain. This cross results in a well-formed bud with a buzzy, persistent head high that swoops in soon after consumption, lifting spirits and mental state to a new plane of happiness and relaxation. Dragon OG impresses with large, solid flowers that cling together in tapered shapes resembling miniature pinecones. Despite its mostly sativa genotype, the inner composition has a dense indica appearance with tightly-packed cores. The small, wide leaves are very dark green, highlighted by vivid orange pistils and dewy, translucent white trichomes.
The strain offers physical effects that begin to emerge after about an hour, with a wave of relaxation rolling through the core and limbs, allowing for deep, restorative breathing and relieving muscular tension. Unlike heavily sedating indicas, Dragon OG enhances activities requiring mental and physical coordination such as exercise, dancing, or sex, making it suitable for daytime consumption. With THC content measured at high levels between 18% and 28%, it's appropriate for use in various settings.

Growing Information
Dragon OG may grow indoors or outdoors in hot, semi-humid climates. The strain's tight, indica-like flowers imply that its plants have a short, bushy stature and reach flowering maturity within 8 to 9 weeks. Vertical space is critical for this strain as it tends to stretch during flowering, with a minimum height of 7 feet recommended to accommodate the full growth cycle. The strain prefers temperatures of 68-78°F during the day and 58-70°F at night, with humidity controlled at 40-50% during vegetative stage and reduced to 30-40% during flowering to prevent mold. Seeds of Dragon OG do not seem to be available for sale online, and the strain is unavailable as seeds or clones. Growers typically need to obtain mature plants for cloning purposes. The strain requires proper training techniques such as topping and LST to manage its growth pattern.
