Devil's Punch Bowl
Devil's Punch Bowl
Also known as: Devils Punch Bowl, Devil Punch Bowl
Overview
Devil's Punch Bowl is a sativa dominant hybrid strain (70% sativa/30% indica) created through crossing the classic Tropicana Cookies and 5280 Gravy #10 strains. Devil's Punch Bowl appears to have gained traction during the wave of dessert-forward hybrids that dominated US shelves from the late 2010s into the early 2020s. In that period, market share for sweet, fruit-leaning cultivars rose steadily, with Purple Punch and its descendants often charting among top sellers across western states. Tropicana Cookies contributes that unmistakable orange-citrus sweetness, while 5280 Gravy #10 adds depth with its spicy, earthy undertones and strong potency. Together, they form a 70% sativa, 30% indica hybrid that brings both energy and balance. This bud has long and tapered, bright emerald-green nugs with vibrant purple undertones, lots of thin orange hairs and chunky, purple-tinted white crystal trichomes. The strain produces large buds that have a medium density and are sticky to the touch. The nose of Devil's Punchbowl is dominated by strong citrus notes, reminiscent of freshly squeezed oranges and has an amazing fruity and floral flavor to follow.

Growing Information
The Devil's Punch Bowl strain performs well in both indoor and outdoor environments, but it thrives in warm, sunny conditions. Indoors, it prefers consistent lighting and careful humidity control to preserve terpene richness. Outdoors, it needs plenty of sunlight and airflow to support its tall, branchy sativa growth. Growers should be prepared for a medium-tall plant with vigorous stretching during the first weeks of flowering. Training techniques like low-stress training (LST) or topping help manage height and increase yields. Devil's Punch Bowl flowers in about eight to nine weeks. Indoors, expect around 400 to 500 g/m², while outdoor plants can produce more if given space and proper care. Devil's Punch Bowl grows like a vigorous hybrid with medium internode spacing and a strong apical push that responds well to training. From seed, expect a 7 to 10 day germination and seedling period, followed by 3 to 6 weeks of vegetative growth depending on target plant size. Clones typically root in 7 to 14 days under 22 to 24 degrees Celsius and 70 to 80 percent relative humidity.
