Cougar Piss
Cougar Piss
Overview
Cougar Piss is an indica-dominant hybrid strain (75% indica/25% sativa) bred by Rare Dankness, created through crossing the iconic SoCal Cat Piss and Afghani #1 IBL strains. This Colorado-bred strain was released over Cannabis Cup weekend, with all packs initially purchased and available for sale in Colorado only. The lineage combines the temperamental Cat Piss genetics with a stable Afghani inbred line, making it more vigorous and stable than its Cat Piss parent.
The strain produces grape-shaped minty green nugs with sparse thin orange hairs and a coating of tiny amber-white crystal trichomes. Despite its name, the strain comes out with a very skunky aroma, though contrary to popular belief, it doesn't actually smell like ammonia but has a strangely sharp yet fresh bite with undertones of sour mango. Cat Piss can be a tough grow, but when crossed with a solid Afghan male, the F1 vigor makes up for the finickiest aspects of the Cat Piss parent, and once dialed in, it becomes a favorite strain.

Growing Information
Cougar Piss is a moderately difficult strain to grow that requires a warm and dry climate. It can be grown both indoors and outdoors but thrives in a controlled indoor environment where humidity and temperature can be monitored. The plant grows tall and bushy and can yield up to 600 grams per square meter when grown indoors, with a flowering time of around 9 to 10 weeks. This is not a strain for beginners to grow, as much trial and error is required until growers can dial it in. However, once a cultivator gets the hang of this sometimes finicky cultivar, the hefty yields are rewarding. The strain can be cultivated indoors and outdoors with a flowering time of approximately 58 days (50-65 days).
