Cocoa Chem

Cocoa Chem is an autoflowering ruderalis/indica/sativa hybrid developed by Night Owl Seeds from their line of Chem 91 x Chemdogging autoflower crosses. This strain was developed from Chem 91 x Chemdogging autos that Night Owl had been working on for several years, reaching the F3 generation before being stabilized. The strain is characterized by its unique combination of dark bittersweet cocoa and coffee flavors that collide with Chemmy goodness, creating a heavy smoke unlike anything encountered before. The genetics trace back to the legendary Chem 91 phenotype of Chemdawg, one of the most influential strains in modern cannabis breeding history.

The strain produces plants that require approximately 70 days from seed to harvest when grown as an autoflower. Night Owl Seeds selected from around 300 seeds to find 12 plants (nine females and three males) to move forward with, all of which were noted for exceptional vigor and being among the dankest plants ever grown. The breeder noted that Cocoa Chem F3 was difficult to identify initially until the dark bittersweet cocoa aroma was recognized, giving this strain its distinctive name and character that sets it apart from other Chem family varieties.
