Chupil is a hybrid cannabis strain created by Mass Medical Strains as a cross between UK Cheese S1 and Star Pupil. Originally released for free in 2016 to celebrate legalization of cannabis in Massachusetts, this strain combines the distinctive nutty cheese flavors of its UK Cheese parent with the purple coloration and unique effects of Star Pupil. Chupil is classified as mostly indica-dominant, presenting as a short and bushy plant that leans more toward the indica side of the spectrum compared to typical Mass Medical Strains offerings. Users can expect a strong, trance-like high that is heavily relaxing yet mentally inspiring and happy, with reported pain-free effects. Most phenotypes express a sweet, cheesy, nutty flavor profile combined with candy-like pupil characteristics, though some rare phenotypes may exhibit unusual solvent minty fuel aromas. While some plants can flower as fast as seven weeks, most will complete flowering in 8-9 weeks. Mass Medical Strains offers Chupil only as feminized seeds. As an indica-dominant strain, it grows as a short and bushy plant, making it suitable for growers with height restrictions.
