Overview
Chiesel is a balanced 50/50 hybrid strain created by crossing Big Buddha Cheese and NYC Diesel, originally bred by Big Buddha Seeds using a male NYC Diesel from legendary breeder Soma. The male added enough hybrid vigor and a distinctive hint of that grapefruit diesel taste to the ever popular cup winning Big Buddha Cheese, creating a taste concoction of old school mixed with new fuel hints that is highly unique and memorable. The strain grows similar to its mother, a slender looking fast flowering sativa with indica impressions.
The strain exhibits dense and oversized buds with a distinct grape shape and forest green color, featuring minty green leaves, thick dark orange hairs, and a generous coating of minty white crystal trichomes. This strain has a pungent smell which permeates the room the second the jar is open, combining a gassy, rubbery kick and subtle earthy notes, followed by creamy, intensely funky scents of stinky cheese and an herbal, spicy back end. Chiesel may not be the highest testing flower, but it has a higher CBD content than most THC-rich strains with a CBD content of over 1 percent, making it perfect for many patients.

Growing Information
Chiesel is not the most difficult strain to grow, and it is also not the easiest. This strain would be a challenge for most beginning growers and is even tough for novice growers. Indoor flowering time is 8-10 weeks, with outdoor harvest beginning in November. The strain is reported to grow on the smaller side, producing high flower yields in a 56-to-70-day flowering period. After 8–10 weeks of flowering indoors or at the end of October under the sun, Chiesel can produce up to 400g/m² or 1200g per plant respectively. Experienced growers can pull 400 g/plant indoors and more than 1.2 kg per plant in outdoor gardens. The plants are reported to grow on a taller side – 60''-80'' for indoor and 90'' and more for outdoor gardens. Plants are vigorous and slender, suitable for indoor grows and outdoor setups alike.
