Cherry Queen
Cherry Queen
Also known as: Supernatural Selections #005, SS005
Overview
Cherry Queen is a rare indica-dominant hybrid created by renowned breeder Bodhi Seeds as part of their Supernatural Selections series (designated as SS #005). This strain is a cross of "Fat Cherry Afghani" (Mother) x "Old Mother Ghani" (Father), representing a pure Afghani genetic composition that showcases old-school cannabis genetics.
The strain was specifically developed to combine the best traits of two traditional Afghani landrace lines. Old Mother Ghani (OMG) is described as "a beautiful lemon spice classic vintage commercial afghani" that "leans more to the hindu kush side then the acrid leathery stout plains afghani" and "has a perfect mind/body mix". Cherry Queen demonstrates the sophisticated breeding work that preserves traditional genetics while creating new expressions of classic Afghani traits.
Growers report that Cherry Queen "was one of my favorites this run. Great structure and easy to grow. One of top three for yield. It is from his supernatural selections and is an pure Afghani". The strain is noted for its robust growing characteristics and substantial yields, making it appealing to both novice and experienced cultivators seeking reliable genetics with strong traditional Afghani qualities.

Growing Information
Cherry Queen is considered beginner-friendly and easy to grow with great structure and vigor. The strain can be cultivated indoors, outdoors and greenhouse with a flowering time of approximately 60 days (8-9 weeks). When grown outdoors in Northeast United States, plants can be harvested as early as the first week of October. Plants consistently produce "tight internodal spacing, great vigor, and excellent quantity of high quality flowers from the bottoms to the tops of all lateral branching". The strain shows excellent resistance to "Mold, Mildew, and Pest" while being "Drought Resistant" with "Moderate cold tolerance, varies by pheno". Growers highly recommend "growing through a trellis - the yield is substantial, and heavy late season winds will knock down lower branches". Flowers may not have significant aromas during growth, but after drying develop "smells of incense, spice, cherries, and earthy lemons".
