Overview
CBD Skunk Haze is the result of a joint venture between Dutch Passion and CBD Crew, developed by crossing their award-winning Haze/Skunk (winner of the 1992 High Times Cannabis Cup) with a high-CBD variety to achieve the optimal 1:1 CBD:THC ratio. This strain was the first CBD strain introduced by Dutch Passion to the market almost a decade ago, becoming a favorite among experts and winning 3rd place in the Sativa category at the Treating Yourself Expo in Toronto, Canada shortly after its 2013 introduction. It is a vigorous cup-winning CBD cannabis variety that produces large buds with a favorable flower-to-leaf ratio and maintains a consistent 1:1 ratio of CBD:THC averaging around 7.5% CBD and 7.5% THC. This evenly balanced hybrid strain (50% indica/50% sativa) is created through crossing the infamous Haze X Skunk strains. The strain produces resinous buds that are loaded with trichomes, eventually becoming really sticky and resinous with trichome amounts that may be greater than expected, making it extremely suitable for making cannabis concentrates or cannabis oil.

CBD Skunk Haze is a medium-sized plant suitable for various growing methods such as SOG or SCROG, with most plants extending into flowering for about 3-4 weeks maximum due to its relatively limited stretching phase. The plant structure is best described as medium with short to medium internode spacing and Sativa-dominant leaf characteristics. Flowering time averages about 10 weeks, though some phenotypes can finish faster around 8.5-9 weeks, especially when grown indoors under ideal conditions. Expected yields are around 450g/m² indoors under optimal conditions. The strain grows well both indoors and in controlled greenhouse environments, and is recommended primarily for indoor cultivation. It is a resilient plant that is especially resistant to fungus, making it great for beginning cultivators or those wanting to build confidence in their craft.
