California Kush
California Kush
Also known as: Cali Kush
Overview
California Kush is often named to suggest California origins, though this strain was never actually bred in California. The true origin of this strain is unknown, but there are two distinct strains circulating under the California Kush moniker from different breeders. One is a balanced pure indica bred by Sumo Seeds, a Netherlands-based company, which is a cross between Mendocino Purps and LA Confidential. The other is an indica-leaning hybrid by Anesia Seeds from Spain, which is a cross between Strawberry Kush and OG Kush. The Anesia Seeds version is characterized by its potent blend of Strawberry Kush and Premium OG Kush, famous for its massive resin production and high THC content exceeding 23%. This strain exhibits short, stocky growth with large, dark green leaves and heavy, tranquilizing effects. It features notably sweet and lemony aromas with flavors reminiscent of exotic fruits. Its powerful, long-lasting effects make California Kush ideal for relaxation and stress relief, often chosen for evening or leisure use. Recognized as a premium medical cannabis strain, it aids in appetite stimulation, insomnia, and pain relief, delivering a pleasant body sensation without confusion.

Growing Information
California Kush thrives both indoors and outdoors, with a preference for SOG (Sea of Green) setup, yielding up to 600-650g/m² indoors. It's praised for its easy growth and resistance to mold and fungus, making it suitable for both novice and experienced growers. The flowering time is 7-9 weeks indoors, with outdoor harvest ready in mid-September. Plants reach a relatively small to medium height (80-110 cm), depending on when flowering begins. Outdoors, yields of 550g per plant are possible in sunny locations. The strain is particularly well-suited for Central European climates due to its early harvest time and disease resistance.
