Burma Myanmar Sativa
Burma Myanmar Sativa
Also known as: Burmese, Mong Hsat, Tai Cannabis Landrace
Overview
Burma Myanmar Sativa is a pure landrace sativa strain believed to originate from Myanmar (formerly Burma), specifically from the Mong Hsat district in the eastern Shan province near the border with Laos. This landrace represents a pure, non-hybridized cannabis variety collected directly from Southeast Asia. The strain grows well in most environments but is eminently suited for outdoor cultivation in warm and tropical climates, showing excellent resistance against heat, rain, wind, and fungus. Plants exhibit classic equatorial sativa structure with vigorous, tall growth. The buds are characteristically airy and fluffy, well-adapted to the humid monsoon climate of the region, showing natural resistance to mildew and botrytis. Visually, the plants display vibrant green shades with orange pistils scattered throughout the buds, lightly colored floral bracts, and a frosty layer of white trichomes.

Growing Information
Flowering time for this landrace sativa is exceptionally long at 18-20 weeks indoors, with some varieties flowering for up to 20 weeks. Plants can reach heights of 2-4 meters (6-13 feet) and are best suited for greenhouse or outdoor cultivation. The strain shows excellent resistance to heat, rain, wind, and fungal issues, making it ideal for tropical/subtropical climates. Outdoor cultivation is preferred, where plants can reach 10-11 feet in height and 6-8 feet in width. Seeds require direct planting in soil with heating mats beneficial during cooler months, with germination times of 5-12 days. This is considered an advanced strain due to the extremely long flowering time and large size requirements.
