Blueberry Mulanje is a unique sativa-dominant hybrid developed by Mount Zion Seed Cooperative through crossing {Oregon Purple Thai x Cindy 99} with Mulanje Gold, where the Mulanje Gold parent exhibited a remarkable tendency to pull out ancestral landrace traits from whatever she crosses with, specifically bringing forward the Lowland Chocolate Thai genetics from High Grade Seed's Purple Cindy lineage. This strain requires approximately 75 days flowering time and can be grown indoors, outdoors, and in greenhouse conditions.
The Mulanje Gold parent originates from the Mulanje Massif within the borders of Malawi, Africa, the second tallest mountain in Africa, and is known for being spiritual and extremely clear-headed with euphoric and energizing effects even more pronounced than Kona Gold due to much older genetics, featuring unique terpene profiles including Cedar, Lemon, Pine Nuts, Eucalyptus, and Sandalwood from the local terroir of the Mulanje Cedar Forest. The strain commonly exhibits terpene profiles featuring Tootsie Roll, cinnamon, eucalyptus, lime, and sandalwood, with berries and other fruit coming through less frequently. Blueberry Mulanje displays beautiful blues, maroons, and reds that differ from the typical purples found in Indica genetics.

This strain represents a return to classic genetics reminiscent of DJ's Blueberry before it became inbred over multiple generations, making it excellent breeding stock for stellar breeding programs. The strain tends to grow large with long flowering times, making it challenging for most indoor operations - growers should use at least 11/13 light cycle and top plants to prevent hitting the ceiling, while outdoor cultivation produces massive yields but requires a very long growing season, with incredible resistance to drought, mold, heat, cold, and pests.
