Overview
Blue Magoo Bx2 is an indica-dominant stabilized polyhybrid created by Dynasty Seeds through a carefully executed breeding program. The original Blue Magoo lineage dates back to the mid 90s when it was bred by one of the many great growers of Oregon, with the mother being a DJ Short Blueberry pollinated by a William's Wonder F2 (also known as Major League Bud). For the Bx2 version, Dynasty selected The Blue Heron male (Blue Magoo x Blue Magoo/Huckleberry2011) over the course of two years and over 120 plants, with the #111 male proving to be the keeper that expresses recessive traits of the Blue Magoo throughout the offspring. All phenos resemble the Blue Magoo clone, with slight variations from plant to plant.
This strain exhibits distinctive visual characteristics including colorful plants with long petioles, zigzag vine-like branching, sweet-smelling blossoms, and extreme trichome coverage. The Blue Magoo has a tight bud structure with slightly higher stretch than typical indica, growing zigzagging vine-like branches covered in very dense and resinous buds that need to be staked up to hold their weight. The strain's appearance showcases the classic Blue Magoo traits with enhanced stability and consistency through the backcrossing process, making it an excellent representation of this legendary Oregon clone.
