Black Sugar
Black Sugar
Also known as: Sugar Black Rose, Black Sugar Rose
Overview
Black Sugar is an indica-dominant hybrid strain featuring approximately 70% indica and 30% sativa genetics, created through a three-way cross between Black Domina, LA OG Kush, and Critical. This strain has a rich and diverse origin, combining genetics from Europe, the USA, Afghanistan, and Asia, born in Europe as a blend of celebrated European strains such as Critical and Black Domina, crossed with a champion strain from Los Angeles, California. The strain is renowned for its rock hard buds soaked in resin with a crystalline sheen due to the amount of trichomes, looking as if they came from the moon and excessively covered with resinous trichomes.
Black Sugar exhibits dense buds covered in resinous trichomes, giving them a dark and sugary appearance, with many phenotypes developing stunning, deep purple and almost black coloration on the sugar leaves and throughout the buds when exposed to slightly cooler nighttime temperatures late in flowering, creating a breathtaking contrast with its thick coating of frosty white trichomes. The strain features a vigorous, medium-to-tall plant with a classic, bushy indica-dominant structure, not short and compact, with very strong main stem and extremely sturdy, productive side-branching.

Growing Information
Black Sugar is an excellent choice for beginners, bred for maximum resilience and ease of growth, inheriting the robust nature of Critical and Black Domina. The strain thrives in both indoor and outdoor environments, making it suitable for growers of all levels, with a flowering time of 50-55 days. When grown indoors, Black Sugar can yield an impressive 600 grams per square meter, while outdoor growers can anticipate harvests of approximately 550-650 grams per plant. The plant retains its short stature from its Critical lineage, making it ideal for indoor or limited space cultivation, but what it lacks in stature, it makes up for in yield. Outdoor harvests occur in the northern hemisphere by the end of September or early October, with plants reaching heights of 250 to 300 cm outdoors.
