Biscotti Cakes
Biscotti Cakes
Also known as: Biscotti Cake, Biscotti Pancakes
Overview
Biscotti Cakes is a slightly sativa-dominant hybrid strain (60% sativa, 40% indica) created through crossing Wedding Cake and Biscotti strains. Originally bred by Cannarado Genetics, a Colorado-based breeding company, this strain represents the modern evolution of dessert-themed cannabis cultivars. This polyhybrid stacks Kush, Cookies, Gelato, and Mint families in one resin-heavy package, inheriting complex genetic lineage from its parents.
The strain exhibits bright orange hairs, trichomes with white crystals, and a deep purple tint, featuring compact, thick buds with vivid orange pistils and dark green and purple leaves. Resin production is way above average, giving Biscotti Cakes a crystalline coating of sticky trichomes as she finishes her bloom phase. The name reflects its dessert-like characteristics, combining the sweet vanilla and almond notes of Wedding Cake with the nutty, gassy spice profile of Biscotti. Compared to Wedding Cake, Biscotti Cake typically brings more spice and earthy-kush depth, trading some of the sugary frosting for layered complexity.

Growing Information
Flowering time is 8-9 weeks indoors, making it moderately fast for harvest. The strain is moderately challenging to grow due to high nutrient demands, especially phosphorus during bloom, and mold risk in dense buds if airflow is insufficient. Indoor yields range from 1.5-1.8 oz per sq. ft. (425-510 g/m²), while outdoor plants can produce 14-20 oz (400-560 g) per plant. Lower nighttime temperatures to around 60°F (15°C) during the final 2 weeks of flowering to stimulate anthocyanin expression while keeping humidity low to prevent mold. It's a bushy plant with dense buds, requiring defoliation and strong airflow to avoid mold issues, and takes on beautiful purple streaks if nighttime temps are dropped late in flower. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor cultivation in warm climates.
