Biscotti is an indica-dominant hybrid cannabis strain (80% indica/20% sativa) created by crossing Gelato #25 with South Florida OG. Originally bred by Cookies Farms (also known as Cookies Fam Genetics), the strain emerged from the renowned Cookies collective but has since been associated with Connected Cannabis Co. The breeders used the classic red cup method when pheno hunting, selecting from four varieties (RC14, 25, 27, and 28) to balance the intensity of South Florida OG with the subtle power of Gelato #25. The name "Biscotti" was given by Cookies founder Berner, who noted it would "rap really well," contributing to its cultural popularity with over 400 mentions in popular songs.
Biscotti features dense, cone-shaped buds with deep olive green coloration often showcasing purple and orange hues, covered in a thick layer of bright white crystal trichomes. During flowering, plants often develop striking purple coloration that is enhanced by cooler nighttime temperatures. The strain exhibits a distinctive aroma and flavor profile described as sweet, nutty, and cookie-like with notes of vanilla, spice, diesel, and earthiness, creating a dessert-like experience that lives up to its name.
