Berry White
Berry White
Also known as: Barry White, White Berry, Blue Widow
Overview
Berry White is an indica-dominant hybrid cannabis strain (75% indica, 25% sativa) that is the offspring of two legendary parents: Blueberry and White Widow. The strain came about by accident when breeders at Green Beanz Seeds in Colorado were breeding this strain as an intermediary for mass-producing a different strain, but were surprised by the exceptional results of Berry White. The punny name was inspired by American R&B singer Barry White, whose smooth, deep voice led him to become one of the best-selling music artists of all time.
Berry White buds are visually striking, featuring dense, popcorn-shaped nugs that are dark olive green with deep blue and rich purple undertones and a spattering of curly purple leaves. The buds are tight and deep green with a shining platinum sheen of trichomes. They are flecked with long thin dark olive green hairs and absolutely caked in an almost overwhelming layer of thick crystal trichomes, paying tribute to its White Widow parentage. The plant's flowers have a light sour berry and pine smell with a taste of sweet blueberry cake and tangy sweet blueberry. The aroma and inhale are sugary with rounded berry edges of ripe blueberries, and the exhale tastes similar, though perhaps like berries and sugar were muddled with a little mint and basil.

Growing Information
Berry White is a relatively easy strain to manage with good plant structure, meaning less need for pruning. It can be grown both indoors and outdoors. The flowering time is approximately 7-8 weeks (55-65 days) and produces average yields of up to 400g/m² indoors. Outdoor grows typically produce around 500g per plant. Plants grow into compact, indica-dominant structures with broad, dark green leaves and closely spaced nodes. Berry White likes warmer climates at night and ideal temperatures between 70-80 degrees Fahrenheit. The plant handles mold well, making it a good candidate for variable humidity. Hydroponic growing helps promote resin production, while soil cultivation enhances the flavor profile. The strain responds very well to Sea of Green (SOG) and Screen of Green (SCROG) methods.
