Beldia Heirloom

Beldia Heirloom is a pure Moroccan landrace sativa from the Rif Mountains with over 800 years of cultivation history by traditional Berber farmers. Believed to be a pure Moroccan heirloom that has never been outcrossed, this strain represents authentic genetics that have been meticulously adapted to the harsh, arid conditions of its native region through natural selection. Known locally as "Kief," this variety has been the backbone of traditional Moroccan hash production, used to produce the famous old school blond Moroccan hash. The strain's genetic lineage is believed to trace back to ancient Middle Eastern landraces, possibly introduced by Phoenician traders or Arab invasions over 1,000 years ago.

Beldia Heirloom is characterized by its semi-autoflowering traits and very short flowering time, making it one of the fastest psychoactive sativa landraces on the planet. Plants are small to medium sized, typically reaching no more than 1-2 meters in height. The strain produces typical sativa spiky and resinous flowers that are ideal for dry resin extraction. Remarkably resilient and low-maintenance, this strain thrives in hot, dry climates with poor soil and requires minimal water or nutrients. Unfortunately, this indigenous strain is now quickly disappearing from the Rif Mountains due to genetic contamination from modern hybrid strains, making preservation efforts crucial for maintaining this piece of cannabis heritage.
