Auto Afghani
Auto Afghani
Also known as: Afghan Autoflower, Afghani Auto, Auto Afghan
Overview
Auto Afghani was first developed by Dutch seed banks in Amsterdam and was one of the earliest genetics crossed with Ruderalis to create automatic varieties. Resulting from the cross between Afghani x Ruderalis, Auto Afghani produces a hybrid strain that is 90% Indica / 10% Sativa. The strain retains the classic Afghani traits of dense buds and a strong, earthy aroma, making it a staple in European gardens. Afghan Auto-Flowering is an indica breed who counts its ancestors among the original Kush plants from the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan, crossed with ruderalis which originated from Russia.
As an autoflowering variety, Auto Afghani combines the legendary genetics of traditional Afghani landrace strains with the convenience of automatic flowering. Ruderalis is accustomed to shorter growing periods and has developed the ability to flower automatically after a few weeks, rather than relying on a change in hours or intensity of daylight. These varieties are highly valued for their fast flowering time and ease of cultivation. The strain maintains the characteristic dense, resinous buds of its Afghani heritage while offering the practical benefits of autoflowering genetics, making it suitable for novice growers and those seeking multiple harvests per season.

Growing Information
Indoor cultivation takes 8-10 weeks from seed to harvest and produces about 400 gr/m². Healthy Auto Afghani plants produce about 60-100 grams per plant. The strain thrives in warm and dry climates similar to its native Afghanistan, with ideal temperatures ranging from 70-80°F (21-24°C). This strain is extremely resistant to changes in climate and pests, making it ideal for beginners. The Indica dominance ensures a compact plant structure, ideal for indoor or discreet outdoor cultivation. Auto Afghani has a moderate to easy growing difficulty, taking up to 12 weeks to fully mature from seed to harvest whether grown indoors or outdoors.
