Arghandab II Kandahar is a first generation pure indica landrace strain from the Arghandab District of Kandahar Province in southern Afghanistan, preserved and distributed by Indian Landrace Exchange. This strain represents authentic genetics from one of the most renowned cannabis cultivation regions in Afghanistan, specifically sourced from Farm #2 in the Arghandab area at coordinates 31°44'N 65°45'E, at an elevation of 1000-1200 meters. The Arghandab District is located at the heart of North/Central Kandahar Province and is famous for its highly agricultural terrain, irrigated by the Arghandab and Helmand rivers, which creates ideal conditions for cannabis cultivation. The region experiences a temperate climate with hot, dry summers and cold winters without snowfall, providing perfect growing conditions for traditional Afghan hash plants.

The strain showcases the diverse genetic heritage typical of Kandahar cannabis farms, where growers often allow random cross-pollination between plants and regularly introduce genetics from other provinces like the Hindu Kush regions and Northern Plains of Afghanistan.
