Overview
Amsterdam Flame is a mostly indica cannabis strain bred in 1994 by Paradise Seeds, a Dutch seed company founded by breeder Luc Krol. Created as a cross between Indian Indica and California Indica parents, this strain represents 100% pure indica genetics. Despite being one of Paradise Seeds' early releases, Amsterdam Flame experienced 'slow burning' success initially, though it has gained particular popularity in Germany and Austria.
Amsterdam Flame is characterized by its small stature and sparkling appearance, featuring colorful buds that are highly crystallized and dewy with resin. The buds are small, popcorn-shaped, densely packed bright neon green nugs with a spattering of fiery orange and rich purple hairs, frosty with sugary white trichomes and sticky with dripping sweet resin. The mostly indica genetics mean that the plant is bushy with big fan leaves and doesn't stretch much indoors. Her structure is Christmas-tree-like, requiring a little more space in a sea of green setting.
Amsterdam Flame produces an amazing aroma of sweet strawberry haze and delivers a delicious taste of sweet berry mango with hints of strawberry and nectarine. With THC content ranging from 16-20%, averaging around 19.2%, this variety produces a pleasantly potent high. Users describe the high as intensely euphoric and uplifting almost immediately after use, slowly building into a happy peak of complete bliss and ease, before the indica effects hit heavy during the comedown, leaving users sedated and couch-locked before easing into deep, peaceful sleep.

Amsterdam Flame can be cultivated both indoors and outdoors with a flowering time of approximately 52 days (7-8 weeks). Being mostly indica, both regular and feminized seeds show great resistance towards mould and fungus and fight well against pest attacks. They are suitable for indoors and outdoors and show excellent results in hydroponics, coco and soil setups. Indoors, the strain does well in hydro, coco or soil media. Outside, plants can easily grow 2 meters (6 feet) tall and branch out to almost equally as wide. Despite being quite petite, Amsterdam Flame is considered one of the greatest producers with an indoor yield of 450 gr per m² and an outdoor yield of 500+ grams per plant, ready in the third week of October. In a good season, outdoor plants can yield over half a kilo per plant. Paradise Seeds' Amsterdam Flame is only available as feminized seeds.
