Alien Dawg is an indica-dominant hybrid created by crossing Chemdawg with Alien Technology, bred by The Cali Connection. This strain descends from Northern California and Afghanistan genetics, with the strain being approximately 70% indica and 30% sativa. The Alien Technology parent is said to be a rare Afghani landrace strain brought to the US by an American soldier, though its exact origins remain enigmatic. Alien Dawg is one of The Cali Connection's award-winning genetics, winning second place in Best Indica at the High Times Medical Cup in Detroit in 2014.
The strain presents a sharp, bitter flavor with sour notes of earth and pine, and has a pungent and sour smell with hits of pine. Visually, the strain has a bright green appearance with many flecks of orange, while the dense buds are pale green with yellow hues from their crystals. Alien Dawg is considered one of today's most powerful strains and is not recommended for beginners. The effects are strongly uplifting, delivering a potent dose of euphoria, but should be used late at night as it induces a deeply sedating, sleepy feeling while also spurring cerebral creativity and boosting mood.
