Overview
Agent Orange is a sativa-dominant hybrid bred by MzJill and TGA Subcool in California with a 75:25 sativa/indica ratio. The strain was created by crossing Orange Velvet, a strain bred by MzJill herself, and Jack The Ripper, a Haze hybrid bred by TGA. The strain is named in honour of MzJill's father, an Army Green Beret who fell victim to Agent Orange in Vietnam, with the breeder stating "With this unique name, I am hoping to bring awareness to those that were affected by the chemical. Honoring all military men and women".
Agent Orange has become a very popular strain among both recreational users and medical cannabis patients and has won multiple awards including 3rd Place at the IC 420 Growers Cup in both 2012 and 2013 in the Sativa category. The buds display pigments that have the ability to turn maroon, purple with cool nights and feature beautiful buds with crystal trichomes and dark orange hairs. The name "Agent Orange" describes the invigorating citrusy aroma exhibited by this strain, with one whiff immediately evoking the scent of freshly cut oranges or sweet orange juice.

Agent Orange is believed to be a medium-difficulty strain that's best grown by someone with at least a few harvests under their belt. Its genetics suggest that Agent Orange can grow relatively tall, meaning indoor growers may need to take some precautions to manage its height. The plant can grow up to 10 feet tall outdoors due to its sativa nature, so if grown indoors, you must train the strain into a bush to keep it short. The strain does well in warm temperatures of around 72-78 degrees Fahrenheit. During the vegetative state, humidity should be kept at about 60%-65%, and when flowering, reduce humidity to around 40%-50% to avoid bud rot. Flowering time is between 55 and 65 days. If grown indoors, you can expect 16 ounces of bud per square meter and a whopping 19 ounces per plant outdoors.
