Afghan Auto, resulting from the cross between Afghani x Ruderalis, is a 90% indica / 10% sativa autoflowering strain first developed by Dutch seed banks in Amsterdam and was one of the earliest genetics crossed with Ruderalis to create automatic varieties. The original Afghani parent strain is classified as a landrace strain that developed naturally over generations in the Hindu Kush mountain range, adapting to hard conditions without human intervention. The strain retains the classic Afghani traits of dense buds and strong, earthy aroma, making it a staple in European gardens.
The mix of Lowryder and ruderalis genetics makes for hardy plants that swiftly move through their flowering process and are ready to harvest in roughly 8-9 weeks. Its rare genes produce a premium weed that is hard to beat, and thanks to its large resin production, it is the ideal strain for the production of high-quality extracts and concentrates. The buds are rock hard, soaked in resin and often have a crystalline sheen due to the amount of trichomes, and are described as compact, sticky, and bulky.
