8 Ball Kush is a 100% pure indica strain bred by Barney's Farm, descended from an Afghani landrace strain. The strain was developed by selecting and breeding the best Kush genetics originating from the mountainous areas between Afghanistan and Pakistan. Barney's Farm selected 8 Ball Kush for its pure indica lineage and its ability to thrive in harsh environments, creating a resilient and easy-to-grow variety suitable for both novice and experienced cultivators.
The buds are dense, medium-sized, and spade-shaped with dark forest green coloration spattered with rich amber trichomes and pale gold undertones. Like many cannabis varieties from the Hindu Kush region, 8 Ball Kush produces large amounts of crystal resin that blanket the buds, making them heavy with fine crystal white trichomes and sticky with sweet syrupy resin. The strain is particularly well-suited for making hash due to its resinous essence and musky character. After years of selective breeding, this strain has become very easy to grow even in unfavorable conditions, making it a good choice for both SOG and ScrOG gardens.

8 Ball Kush is very easy to grow even in unfavorable conditions and is a good choice for beginners in growing cannabis. The flowering time ranges from 50-60 days indoors (8-9 weeks), while outdoor gardens finish at the end of September. Plants are quite short, reaching around 80-100cm in height (approximately 60cm typical), making them perfect for limited indoor spaces. Indoor yields can reach 450 grams per square meter (around 16 ounces per square meter). Outdoor plants can yield 19-21 ounces of dense buds per plant. The strain is resistant to pests, mold, and mildew, and has excellent resistance to fungus. It grows well in cool to warm climates and can tolerate mistakes such as wrong nutrient levels.
