3 Bears OG was created by Spanish breeders at Mephisto Genetics through a complex three-way crossing involving Triangle Kush, Bear OG (originally developed by Karma Genetics), and Karma's OG Cut, resulting in an indica-dominant autoflowering strain. Mephisto Genetics describes this strain as a cornerstone of their Artisanal Collection, successfully blending the best qualities of legendary OG Kush genetics with a compact and controllable growth pattern to create what they call "a mini-me OG." The strain features a 70% indica to 30% sativa genetic ratio, maintaining the characteristic relaxing effects of indica while incorporating subtle sativa influences.
3 Bears OG plants are notably compact, producing small, dense, forest-to-mint green buds covered in orange hairs and thick crystal trichomes. Although a small plant, 3 Bears OG can be difficult to handle due to its tendency to grow dense and bushy, requiring some cultivation experience and patience. The flowering time is around 54-75 days with an expected yield of about 75-110 grams per plant. Plants are expected to grow only 20-32 cm (some sources report up to 50-80 cm) in height but make up for their lack of height by becoming very bushy. The strain thrives in hot, Mediterranean climates but is also perfect for indoor growing in a greenhouse using the "sea of green" (SOG) technique due to its small, compact size.
